Shon Carson committed today.  He's a 4 or 5 star player everyone wanted.  He went to the Gators camp this summer and blew them away with his speed and athletic ability.  He will be super in Coach Spurrier's offense.

We didn't want him.  He's too fast.

Well, I was going to be a smart a$$ but I'll take the high road. You guys absolutely gave us the beat down and I wasn't really surprised- many of us thought this might be our toughest game- I was thinking it was going to be Arkansas.

However, I also think it's pretty obvious that we are not nearly as good as last year and I see another loss or two.  There's also a rumor that Julio is out 3-4 weeks with a broken hand. The   schedule with everyone having 2 weeks to prepare for us is beyond ridiculous (and this isn't the first time that's happened to us).

I thought all along that next year would be our chance to get back in the NC game- this team is too young and the schedule is way too tough. I'm seeing a South Carolina/LSU SECCG.

That is all.

BF,

We both think next year is our season. The game in Gainesville will be fun--at least more fun for me than last week in Tuscaloosa. It's gonna take me a year to pay off the credit card motel bill when all I wanted to do was drive straight home after that possibly meaningless beat-down.

Thanks for the praise.

McElroy told Garcia on the field after the game he would see him in Atlanta.

It will be tough for us to make Atlanta.  The 5 conference games we have left include Arkansas  at home and Florida on the road.  All we need to be concerned with is Kentucky on the road next week, they nearly beat us last year and just played Auburn at home better than we did.

The West is really good this year and for any team to go undefeated will be tough IMO.

All Carolina has been lacking is something Spurrier can get cocky about. (pun intended)
Spurrier has basically built SC without the high octane offenses he was famous for. He's done it with running game and defense. If he gets his swagger then watch out. There is nothing he'd love more than to go into Gaineville and stomp Meyer.

The  comes calling. You forget about that? The  need that one to get to their 8 and 9 win prediction that they have been clamoring about for months.

Since the game is @ home and if our team stays healthy, I am not too worried about Tennessee this year.

I am interested in seeing if Spurrier holds old grudges against the next generation.  I read recently that Vince Dooley was the HC @ Georgia when Spurrier was trying to QB Florida to their first ever SEC Championship.  Dooley had his defense pound Spurrier that day and his players rubbed it in pretty good.  Not to mention, Florida was undefeated, ranked #7, and Georgia went on to win the SEC Championship and go to the Sugar Bowl.

1966 - UGA 27-10: The No. 7 Gators, unbeaten and led by senior quarterback Steve Spurrier, are clobbered by unranked Georgia. The Bulldogs win the SEC title, and Spurrier never forgives Georgia.
