This is what austerity will do to your culture.  When social programs are cut, and youth unemployment levels reach 25 percent or more, hopelessness sets in.  Then it spirals into civil disobedience and crime.  When people lose hope, they lose it. 

What we're seeing in the U.K. right now is happening in some of the poorest sections of the affected cities.  Teens and young adults with no jobs, no money and no hope.  Take a good look this is slowly working it's way to our nation's shores...

And even here now.  Exhibit "A" the recent fair in Milwaukee.  Young mobs attacked fair goers in one of the most brutal and vicious mass displays of violence in US history...

Brazen flash mob robberies are becoming an epidemic problem in larger cities.  Broad daylight theft and beatings by teen flash mobs.  The copycats are carrying this to frightful heights.

Memorial Day weekend at Chicago waterfront saw a huge beach brawl that received little attention from the national media.  Teens beating innocent bystanders and robbing them through brute force.  The Windy City has been overrun by thugs.

I guess what I'm trying to illustrate is that we are headed in a very dark direction as a nation.  What we're seeing around the globe right now, and what we see starting to fester in our own cities is the result of austerity and hopelessness that extreme economic shock brings.  Civilization is unwinding, and it's only going to get worse.  Watch the news, be mindful, be prepared, and always be aware when you're in public.  Things that were once unthinkable are now realities in our rapidly changing and violent world.  Don't let ignorance make you a victim.  Be on your guard and always be prayerful.

It's not just our country, but many countries across the world. Those with little or nothing are trying to rise up and take something from those that have plenty. Since we're a global society, people in one country see it in other countries and decide they should do the same. Just wait to more of this happens in the Middle East. It will make what's going on in London look like a boy scout camp out.

Look at what we've become...or are becoming.  We've removed the teachings of Christ and turned to material things to satisfy our needs.  What happened to the Love spoken in 1 John?  We've lost respect and civility for the ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR or whatever currency is prevalent.  We are all equal in His eyes regardless of the money He gives us...I think it's not what you make or have, but how you use it that matters.  We're not teaching this enough to our children.  I believe all this is a result of all the drugs taken in the 60's by our current leaders

Here's where I'm at on this...cooler heads will prevail.  We are better than this and we must show it now - the rest of the world will follow.  Nothing is free, so let's not play this game.  Our system is broken and needs to be fixed.  It will hurt, but must be done and everyone must be included in the fix, not just the wealthy and not just the entitlement crowd.  I'm wondering who will have the balls to take the reigns to bring everyone together...it certainly won't be anyone in the news today.

 The veneer of civilization is painfully thin. I have noticed the same thing. It is as if we have been given over to a wave of riotous and sensless evil the last two years or so. It is not only domestic but international in scope. I don't understand the Wisconsin mob violence. It is not even being reported. I had to go to the British press to learn about this violence. The US media boys are being forced to cover the London violence because of the Euro press and the net. I wonder how much of the out of controll US spending, borrowing, and dollar printing is leading to this unrest. The dollar up until this point has been the "reserve" currency around the globe. Many, including the Brits, have been caught w/ inflated dollars and austerity is just around the corner. Remember, the administration hates the price of gold metric. It is about as an objective gauge as your going to get when comes to showing the failure of this administration and the Fed. Look for more food riots around the globe like we say in Egypt earlier this year. Foreign investors cannot exchange their inflated dollars for gold fast enough.

JW, much of what you see in the videos above are why "preppers" are moving out of the cities and into the sticks.  These people know what's coming.  Just take a look at London.  These people are young, multi-race mobs that are concentrated in the poorer parts of these cities.  Jobs are gone, money is gone, government welfare is being cut back, and they're losing it.  Robbing people and looting stores in broad daylight.  This is literally the age where someone will shoot you dead over $5 in your pocket.

We're running a couple years behind the U.K. but I figure we are catching up very quickly, at least in our largest metropolitan areas.  The stuff from Wisconsin's State Fair this past week is very disturbing.

We are entering a very dark time as a nation. You need to be on your guard and aware in public of your surroundings.  What used to be a casual trip to the grocery store at night, shouldn't be taken for granted any more.  Your safety is shrinking by the day.

People just need to be aware that the world we grew up in is fading fast and will soon be a memory.  We need to get acclimated to the new normal.  People are losing hope fast.  I don't endorse this way of thinking at all, but it's something we have to come to grips with.  The average man on the street will no longer be ruled by societal moral standards, or code of acceptable conduct.  People will literally kill you if it puts your money in their pocket or food in their belly.

Or perhaps if they had free healthcare, free education, and higher taxes things would be different. Oh wait, they have all of those things (a virtual liberal utopia) and yet they STILL riot and have unbelievably high unemployment rates and debt!

Further to UK's riots.  PM Cameron is blaming it on Moral Collapse.  Hey, for a guy who I think is off base in many ways, he is right on about this...

As to the demonstrations of Moral Collapse...  You ain't seen nuthin' yet.  Americans go bigger and badder compared to the UK.  Coming to the US incrementally over the next couple years.
