Pretty much says it all.  He walked down a line of people sitting on the ground and pepper sprayed them all in the face.

Guess the protesters might be hitting too close to home....

You ain't seen nothing yet.  Wait till they start having to confront violent crowds.  They'll use their newest gadgets for that.  Stand off weapons that make the skin burn, sonic weapons, and the old favorites.  Rubber bullets, water cannons, night sticks.

They'll profile and pull certain folks from the crowds into black vans or cars.  It's not going to get any better, only worse as the protests become more violent.

They've already used the sound gadgets, designed for use in ships, against distant attacker, in close quarters.  And rubber bullets, bean bags, night sticks.  Haven't heard of the water cannons being used yet.

Here's another picture worth a thousand words.

Lacerated spleen from Oakland police beat down...

http://www.pixiq.com/article/video-showing-oakland-police-beating-veteran-posted-online

Also, TSA now on Tennessee's highways and VIPR, Amerika's new goon squad...

http://www.examiner.com/libertarian-news-in-national/vipr-america-s-new-federal-goon-squad

Another thing to note.... Woe onto the person brave enough to videotape some of these incidents of police brutality.  The people behind the cameras will soon draw a similar ire of the police.  The in the street camera men and women are soon to be directly in the cross hairs of the police state.

So a woman allegedly gets assaulted because she's not part of the protest, and THAT gives the police the authority to beat protesters who are sitting peacefully?

I think it should work this way - they have good cause to take down the guy who threw the water bottle, take a baton to him if needed, since he's a demonstrated threat to public safety.  Arrest him, and jail him.  A full aluminum bottle is like a brick.

That's irrelevant to the situation blocks or miles away where people were peacefully protesting.  If he was among the group sitting on the ground, the situation changes.  If he threw the bottle at a policeman, it changes more, since the police have a right to self defense.   But any crime anywhere in the city at any time doesn't actually give the police to beat up random people, just because!

Simple really.

I am going to go ahead and say it because I am certain others feel the same way:

Good Lord you are an idiot! Who in the hell said this? You take statements and twist them to mean something TOTALLY different or you ASSume someone means something and apply a blanket statement to your ASSumption.

BTW, the police incident allegedly happened first. So if anything, the protesters just MAY be reacting with violence, thus my statement of "violence begats violence".

Now I will wait on you to ASSume something else.

And tell me, how are the rest of us supposed to glean that from your post?

It's a mondo trick - cite an article or dozen articles with no comment and then act surprised when people don't get the point he was trying to make.

Say WHAT!!!

So are you off your meds or on them too much?

Maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't ASSume that someone means something? In your ASSumption, I said "there was violence by the students/protestors, therefore the police are justified to inflict violence on the students/protestors". Interesting ASSumption.

BTW, since you say you couldn't figure out what I meant from my post with supposedly "no comment"  , how come you went ahead and made a detailed ASSumption?

In addition to being suspended for his grossly draconian behavior, the UC Davis cop (John Pike) guilty of pepper spraying passive students has become the target of mockery. Here is one example:
