does anyone remember the name of the nightclub that was located
right on the corner of Papermill Rd/Weisgarber during the late 70's & early 80's ??

they played soft pop and had great dancing for couples - very romantic atmosphere.
it turned into a country bar by the mid-80's and was very popular.

not sure what is in that building now, but i need the name of the place before it went country.

Desparado's and several other names.  The building was torn down a couple of years ago.  It was a Chinese buffet about 10 years ago.

Yep it was the BBC for a couple of years (late 70s) then went country when "Urban Cowboy" hit and every disco in town (except the Carousel which had its own *ahem* clientele) put in a mechanical bull.

Doodles was the other "meat market" on down Kingston Pike where Kanpai is now.

Smoothie, even you could have gotten laid there.

Plumber...  Judy's was the old road house at the corner of Middlebrook and Weisgarber.  Right across from the main P.O.  It's long since closed and torn down.

Close, very close.

That old joint reminded me of the dump in the movie Road House.
