I don't understand how republicans do it.  The budget consists of two main parts - revenues and expenses.  And when faced with a budget and debt crisis - OH NOOOO!!! - these idiots pretend that revenues simply cannot factor into any solution.  They're at 60 year lows, so we should cut them some more, because it's a budget crisis, you see, and we have all this debt, so of course, taxes must come down, deficits, you know, so let's make them worse, and then decimate any program that benefits anyone outside the plutocracy.

You'd think intelligent people, even some republicans, would figure out that if it's a deficit and debt crisis, we have to increase taxes.  Reagan had no problem with this basic concept - raising taxes every year between 1982-1987.  Not sure why modern day worshipers of Saint Ronnie can't get this.  Probably because the propagandists don't want them to get this....
