It is demographics. It is blood line. Many very small Southern States put tons of kids in the NFL. They are all African Americans. Many come from areas that used to be large slave plantations back in the day. Just a fact. That is why more athletes come from the South. That and about 85% of all college football and basketball players are African American.

Michigan is the 8th most populated state in the country. Florida and Texas are the only southern states with a larger population.

That is what I assumed.

The SEC doesn't allow oversigning now. You might want to research that just a little. Funny how you forgot Ole Miss and Nutt signed 38 players. That beating your Spartans took from Bama must still sting. I'm quite certain Cousins still feels it. Does the little 11 have an oversigning rule???

Oh, NOW the SEC doesn’t allow oversigning? Gee, um, that’s great.

Re Alabama, I mentioned them only as one example. Most (not all) SEC schools have routinely done it as well. It was a despicable practice, especially for the affected recruits. To hear some people tell it in other forums I’ve read, e.g., Bleacher Report, oversigning is a complex issue. I disagree. And yes, the Big Ten has strict rules for offers and signings and does closely monitor both.

Also re Alabama, yes, last year’s bowl game vs. MSU was enlightening. I saw the 2010 Alabama defense as the gold standard, toward which MSU should aspire. In 2011, MSU had a fine defense (#5 nationally in total defense). So we’re getting there.

The question has been asked before: “If Obama wanted to destroy America, what would be do differently than what he’s doing now?”

If I wanted America to fail, I would vote for Barack Hussein Obama in 2012.

African American...you know what Canada calls their dark skinned people?  Canadians (Cannafrican was suggested but turned down).  Maybe one day we can follow suit here in America.
