Anybody watch the game? In most cases coaching is not what loses games, but in this case the fault lays on Kelly. The ND folks are giving him hell believe me. Why do you pull the QB in the third period and put in a guy that is not in rhytmn ? I started cussing when Hendrix hit the field. You have their top 2 corners out for the game and you try to run on them and then put in a QB you like to run with out of the spread? After losing you best playmaker? Who immediatly tosses a pick trying to pass under coverage against the strength of the FSU defense the LB core? Give me a damn break

Oh yeah why is FSU not 5-7? Did I miss something or are they not starting Freshmen and Sophmores?

Anytime Notre Dame loses is a good thing. I thought Lou Holtz was going to have a breakdown after the game. I loved Mark Mays sheepish grin.

Kelly is probably going to have a stroke on the sidelines soon. Dude has to have high blood pressure.

The entire season has seemed like an experiment on how to mishandle QBs.  At this point, unless Golson is the next Drew Brees, I think it's just a death march for Kelly until he is fired in two years.

Also, WTF is up with his coaching hires...the OC gets a head coaching job, so Kelly promotes the defensive backs coach?!?  To fix a completely screwed up QB situation?!?  Nah, lets not go outside and hire someone who has an offensive background and who has had to match up in the chess match against top notch defensive coordinators in a good conference...f*ck that, we'll just move the corner back coach to offense.

It's really a shame because the pieces were in place on this football team to win 10 or 11 games.  With the loss of the entire secondary, and your best receiver, and possibly the best TE in the country, and a much tougher schedule, next year could get ugly.   The front seven on defense will be really good though.

Rumors are that Tee Shepard and Deontay Greenberry (two of the best players in the current recruiting class) are looking elsewhere.  If this recruiting class starts to bolt, he leash will be even shorter.

Skip Holtz will be coaching Notre Dame in a season or 2.

Lou Holtz cracked on FSU during halftime.  He said Bobby Bowden's last offenses were better than what FSU has today and Notre Dame had won the game because FSU could not score.

S I also loved to watch Granny squirm and make excuses for the Irish.  He is such a pathetic homer for the school that he embarrasses himself when he whines, whether he realizes it or not.  May does enjoy himself when Granny whines.  BTW has Kelly dyed his hair lately.  Sure looks like a cheap job and a cheap color.  The guys status seems to be in free fall these days from his Cincinnati status.  Just another coach IMO.

Gus,
I agree he seems ordinary to me. I would not be suprised to see Skip @ ND in the next 2-3 years
