I don't dispute that Tebow has certain leadership qualities that help mask his lack of skills as a passer. Those are positive intangibles. But he simply does not have (at least after two years in the NFL) the skills needed to be an elite professional QB.

This is the exact reason why I have started watching the NFL again for the first time since high school. This should be the real story & for most of us it is. America loves an underdog, and this underdog beat the Steelers & won meaningful games in the NFL (No Fun League) including his first playoff game against a quality club. I love that he's not an elite QB. I love that all NFL anaylists said he would never start a game in the NFL. I love that he's not an NFL QB robot. These are the reasons why everyone is watching. It's a SPORTS story.

How on earth did the government get drug into this discussion?  I'm not talking about the over-reaching federal government.  I'm talking about Joe and Jane America making moral decisions for their families.  Hey, even the atheist agrees Tebow is a much more savory character and someone of high moral character that is a good influence on youth.

Once again please define what are the global definitions of moral decisions or high moral character?

Organized religion is the main source of hatred in the world. It is violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, bigotry, and invested in ignorance and hostility.

What most people instruct their children in.  Emphasize "most".

The morality standards of tevelvision used to be in line with these.  No foul language, no nudity, no drinking, no smoking, no pre-marital sex, no pre-marital co-habitation etc.
