This sounds exactally like something that could happen here under Doolander.

WOW.  Couldn't happen to a "better" fan base.  They've earned that misery.

That "story" has been out for a few days and has been debunked. Seems to be a clever LSU fan's attempt at deflecting and giving LSU an excuse for the beat down in the NCG

Maybe, but something happened. I guess it could have been a bookies's game.

Vegas got it handed to them on this game. LSU started as a fav and finished as much as a 3 pt dog. The heavy money went to the Tide.

Anybody thought that LSU would beat Bama twice was a fool.  Even after LSU beat Bama (in Bama mind you), it wasn't clear that they were a better team.  They looked about even in that game.  It's tough to beat a team twice in a year when they just as good as you are (if not a tad bit better in this case).

That LSU is just a mess of a program. I am certainly glad we do not have issues like that here

As for the comparison, LSU's defense is better. Alabama's offense is better. Next year it will not be close. Of course LSU had to deal with an OC getting sick and a new one in his place that was not qualified. The QB was paid very well to come there and had to play. Next year the will blow out the Tide.

Part deux or Paul Harvey's "The rest of the story".

Statistics Alabama LSU
First Downs 21 5
Total offense, plays - yards 69-384 44-92
Rushes-yards (net) 35-150 27-39
Passing yards (net) 234 53
Passes, Comp-Att-Int 23-34-0 11-17-1
Time of Possession 35:26 24:34

Total domination. 21-zereaux.

Bama finished the season with the top ranked defense. The unit finished #1 in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense and pass effeciency defense.

Miles and LSU were outcoached and outclassed in the championship rematch. I do remember the cute little posts from some of you ignant hillbillys about how the "Who and the Hat" outcoached and outplayed the Tide during the 1st meeting. Who's laughing now????????

Saban is now 3-0 in BCS games and your HOF could only "Coker" one with all the talent he had.
Get some. Aaah Face!!!!!!!! Feel the burn.

Go crawl back in Phil's hole duhvagina. It's basketball season hater. Maybe you can catch Pearl on ESPN commentating. My bad he's been show-caused. Maybe Phil will guest host a VH1 classic "where are they now?" for ya.

Hate to kill a conspiracy theory but:

"It was from a blog...thats right...a blog...not ESPN, not Yahoo Sports, not ABC, CBS or FOX. In essence, the whole thing is a lie. It has been debunked by T-Bob Hebert, Russel Sheperd, Gordy Rush and Les Miles to name just a few."

Good try to deflect from the actual game by a hurt LSU fan though. Kudos!
