It is hard to fathom the ups and downs of Paterno's last five months. He did so much for Penn State and college football. But decades of good work, charity, and success on the field will forever be stained by the events this past fall. What a shame.

May he rest in peace.

It really sucks to be a Vol fan these days, but our woes pale in comparison to being a Nittany Lion fan. Their future also looks very bleak.

Is this the thread where if you cannot post anything nice then do not post anything at all?

Yeah.  I think that this is that thread BSF.  Not much nice to say about a man that befriends a child rapist.

I think Leroy Thompson, Penn State alum and former NFL running back, would disagree with you. You might want to listen to Basilio's interview with him. He makes a strong case.

I'm not defending Paterno's inaction over Sandusky. He clearly should have done more. His legacy will forever be stained as a result. But the man did a hell of a lot of good in his lifetime, which should not be discounted.

Why does everything have to be black/white with you far right wingnuts? Life is rarely like the simple dichotomies you want to label everyone.
